Teacher of Students with Visual Impairments | Santa Barbara County, CA | 2026–2027 School Year

This is an excellent opportunity to work with K–12 students across Santa Barbara County while providing specialized instruction and support that helps students access their education and reach their individual goals.
Position Details
- Location: Santa Maria / Santa Barbara County, CA.
- Start Date: ASAP.
- End Date: June 4, 2027.
- Full-Time: 40 hours per week / 8 hours per day.
- Schedule: Monday–Friday, specific hours TBD.
- Grade Levels: K–12.
- Setting: School-based.
- Position Type: Multiple school sites.
Qualifications:
- Appropriate California credential/certification to serve as a Teacher of Students with Visual Impairments.
- Experience supporting students who are blind or visually impaired preferred.
- Knowledge of IEP development, implementation, and progress monitoring.
- Ability to provide individualized and specialized instruction based on student needs.
- Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work effectively with students, families, teachers, related service providers, and multidisciplinary teams.
Pay:
- Up to $2,800 per week, depending on experience.
Responsibilities:
- Provide specialized instruction and support to K–12 students who are blind or visually impaired.
- Develop, implement, and monitor student IEP goals.
- Adapt instructional materials and educational environments based on individual student needs.
- Collaborate with teachers, families, administrators, and related service providers.
- Monitor and document student progress.
- Provide services across assigned school sites throughout Santa Barbara County.
- Promote student independence, accessibility, and participation within the educational environment.
