AB Staffing is looking for experienced Speech Language Pathologists (SLP) for the upcoming 25/26 school year.

Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) Job Description:

Openings in Elementary, Middle, and High School.
Caseload and details of position/classroom type will differ based on school location.
Contract through the school year - 37.5 to 40 hours per week.
Contract follows the academic district calendar.

Speech Language Pathologist / SLP Pay:

Up to $2,840/Week DOE and location.

Speech Language Pathologist / SLP Qualifications:

Master’s degree in Speech Pathology, Speech Audiology, Communications Disorders, or similar program.
National and state certifications: ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence, State Speech Language.
Pathologist Certificate, and State License from the Department of Health Services.
Positive, energetic, and compassionate approach to education.
Experience working with children and adolescents in a school setting a plus.
Must demonstrate initiative and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Must have the ability to stand or sit for extended periods of time; see and read a computer screen and printed material with or without vision aids; hear and understand speech at normal levels and on the telephone; speak in audible tones so that others may understand clearly in person and on the telephone; and the ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions; May include frequent walking, standing, stooping, lifting up to approximately 25 pounds and occasional lifting of equipment and/or materials weighing up to approximately 40 pounds may be required.

Speech Language Pathologist / SLP Position Details:

Identify students needing specialized speech or language services, instruction, curriculum, activities, and classes, and support them with solutions that enable them to thrive in a learning environment and achieve academic goals.
Facilitate individual and/or group therapy activities using curriculum-based materials and content, and provide progress reports and documentation as needed.
Supervise support staff as needed and consult with fellow educators regarding accommodations, needs, instructional strategies, necessary equipment, and support.
Provide augmentative and alternative communication systems for individuals with severe expressive and/or language disorders.
Create a classroom and learning environment that cultivates learning, engages the interests of the students, and allows them to perform at their very best. Then celebrate them!
Utilize direct instruction techniques to guide our students through a variety of activities designed to promote the social, physical, and intellectual growth that is needed for primary school success!
Explore individual needs and give side-by-side support to discover how each student best learns and develop personalized solutions to each student’s learning style and abilities.
