Location: Plymouth, MI (Metro Detroit Area)

Schedule: Monday–Friday (37.5 hours per week)
Hourly Pay: $43–$45 (based on experience)
Contract: School-year position with potential for renewal.
About the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated and student-centered School Social Worker to support high school students in grades 9–12 in Plymouth, MI. The ideal candidate will provide direct counseling, collaborate with families and staff, and help build a safe, supportive, and inclusive school environment that promotes both emotional and academic success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide individual and group counseling for students needing social, emotional, or behavioral support.
- Conduct assessments and develop evidence-based intervention plans.
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and support staff to address student needs.
- Serve as a liaison between school teams, families, and community resources.
- Participate in crisis intervention, safety planning, and restorative practices.
- Support IEP and 504 processes as required.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with district and state requirements.
Qualifications:
- Must hold a valid Social Worker license (LMSW or LLMSW) and meet Michigan requirements for School Social Worker approval.
- Master’s degree from an accredited program in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or related field.
- Experience in a school or youth-serving setting preferred.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively with high school students and diverse family populations.
