We are seeking an experienced, compassionate Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) to support individuals with severe and persistent mental illness, including PTSD and psychotic disorders, in a structured behavioral health setting in Northern California. This is a year-long commitment ideal for clinicians who thrive in complex, high-acuity environments and want meaningful, long-term impact.
Position Details:
- Setting: Behavioral Health – Severe Mental Illness (SMI).
- Contract Length: 12 months (extensions possible).
- Provide individual and group therapy to patients with PTSD, psychosis, and co-occurring disorders.
- Conduct comprehensive psychosocial assessments and diagnostic evaluations.
- Deliver crisis intervention and stabilization services.
- Collaborate with psychiatry, nursing, and interdisciplinary care teams.
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and treatment plans.
Requirements:
- Active California LCSW license (required).
- Experience working with SMI, PTSD, psychosis, or high-acuity behavioral health populations.
- Strong clinical judgment, assessment, and de-escalation skills.
- Ability to work independently in a structured setting.
- Correctional, inpatient, or crisis experience preferred (not required).
